NEWS NOTES The “News Notes” editors supply our local newspapers with all current activities and future programs. Faithfulness and dependability were two of the priceless assets displayed throughout the year by our “News Notes” Staff. News Notes Jerry Warren Elaine West HISTORIAN This year Mary Francis Jorgenson has done a marvelous job as our school historian. Her job was to record all happenings at Weber High this year, and to do research on other years. Because of her work and effort, this year of 1957-58 has been splendidly recorded and will be in Weber's history for many years to come. SCRIPTO Editors: Virginia Saunders Layle Lindstrom “Scripto” is Weber’s literary magazine, written and compiled by the students of Weber High. Each semester One issue of the magazine comes out, featuring poems, stories, essays, and editorials. Each year a contest is sponsored by Scripto for the best poem, story, and essay. The winners this year were Mary Klevjord, poetry; Gloria Christenson, story; and Dan Danielson, es- say. Many students of Weber High have developed their writing ability to where it will assist them personally, and will also aid their community through the activities sponsored by Scripto. COLUMNISTS It is the responsibility of the columnist to provide the local paper with a story of every interesting and important event at Weber High.
