He said that the last two 16 gauge Automatics he bought from us (serial Nos. X40405 and X)0193) malfunctioned as follows: The shell coming out of the magazine slipped past the locking block latch. He seems to think that the locking block latch spring is too weak and that the vibration and inertia forced the locking block latch and locking block latch spring down, letting the shell pass the shell stop portion of the locking block latch. It is Harry's opinion that the angle of the shell stop portion of the locking block latch was not formed properly. The force of the shell being released from the magazine with the speed and pressure of the maga zine spring forced the locking block latch down, letting the shell go past.
