Transportation to Pacific war via a train with there ride. entrance compartments very different from our Pullmans. but quite adequate and comfortable. We came to this hotel, which is a truly beautiful building, with commodious Public rooms and quite an air of quietude and comfort, But the bed rooms seem funny after the S S United States. There is a huge wardrobe such as mother used to have to put our clothes in (no closets) I told Nan to alert the life guard when I was getting the bath tub- it is so vast. |
