OCR Text	Show of the risks involved, than to retreat into the seeming security of GEs domain. I assure you that this is not an impulsive conclusion as I am about to retire from my college teaching position and am also keenly aware of my responsibility to my children whose vote I influence. Since I cannot vote either contrary to my personal conviction nor contrary to your thoughtful recommendation I am impelled to withhold our votes at this time. In any case, I plan to remain in the family whether it be GE or UC. Again, my sincere thanks for your competent direction of our company and the reward I derived there from and my appreciation for your thoughtful letter over the years.
