Her professor wasn’t all that comfortable either, especially when Ms. Burke refused to go to a hospital. “The professor told me, ‘We don’t have to finish this right now,”” she said, “but I wanted to finish up.” Ms. Burke completed the exam and managed to get to the hospital before giving birth to a son.
