Picturesque in Style, Design 5-A-75 Offers Excellent Accommodations This design traces its ancestry to the California mission dwellings, a suggested exterior scheme being red for the tile roof, to contrast sharply with white stucco walls. Working drawings show some half dozen schemes whereby, with a re­arrangement of the porches and frontages, the house may be adapt­ed to lots of various sizes, from approximately 35 to 60 feet in .width. The living room is light and pleasant. The dining room, sepa­rated from it by an arched open­ing, is lighted by two broad groups of windows. The closet bed, indi­cated on the plans, may be in­stalled in this room if greater sleeping accommodations are needed. The kitchen is efficiently ar­ranged and has cross ventilation. Compact as it is, it includes ample cupboard and drawer space and a built-in seat with pull-up table to serve for occasional meals. Home building questions will be answered without charge.
