Henry King. Our first basket-ball game of the season was played in the W. S. A. Amusement Hall on December 15th, with the L. D. S. U. of Salt Lake. It was rather slow and rough. Our team work was better than that of our opponents, but our basket pitching was not so good. This caused our defeat to a score of 18 to 20. December 30th was the day of our first victory this season. Our boys defeated the American Fork team with a score of 9 to 13. Although we were far outclassed in size and weight, and the American Fork team were playing in their own field, our opponents were beaten from the start. Our rapid passes and consistent team work could not be blocked, and we made |
