Show Last summer Pineview Dam was the favorite spot for over 10,000 fun-loving people. Perhaps you were one of those who were dunked in the cold water and got everything damp but your spirits. According to the Weber County Planning Commission, the water was full of germs. This verdict, however, did not hinder the aquatic sports, nor did the absence of a life guard after eight o'clock terminate the night's fun. Many stayed long after dark, splashing around in the moonlit water, and sometimes singing to the plink of a ukulele as their bonfire faded into embers. If you don't break your neck or get your leg in a cast participating in winter sports at Snow Basin, the beaches at Pineview Dam will offer you a haven from the heat next summer. 12 |
