The Weber County Chapter of the Red Cross began in December 1915 when a small group of individuals gathered to begin organizing a chapter of the Red Cross. In 1962, the name was changed to the Bonneville chapter, and in 1969, the chapter merged with other chapters in Northern Utah to become the Northern Utah Chapter, with its headquarters located in Ogden, Utah. The scrapbooks range from 1940 to 2003 and highlight some of the important work of the Red Cross. The books include photographs, newspaper clippings, and other materials. |

Hammond from left) prepare for the tea set for Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. to honor 22 registered nurses in the nursing and health program of the Bonneville Chapter of the American Red Cross. national award badges will be presented at 3 p.m. to those volunteering from 40 to 60 hours and enrolled nurses pins will be awarded to volunteers giving more than 20 hours in the blood program. Volunteer nurses teach home nursing and mother-child care, assist with the blood program and are available in case of disaster. |
