Show WED. OCT. 25, 1905 I have spent most of the day preparing or helping get Aunt Elizebath of for burial. THURSDAY 26 This A.M. I received the sad news of my Brother Luke Aunt James son. He died of Typhoid fever Monday morning Oct 16 1905 Attended the fruenal service of Aunt Elizabeth Davis. Her Eleven children were present Speakers were Geo F. Gibbs. Williams Williams and the Bishop of Willard. FRIDAY 27 A beautiful day. I attended the frunal of Mrs Josh Grants little son. Very sad. I will take the midnight train for Montpelier. Storming some tonight SAT. OCT. 28, 1905 Cleone and I arrived in Montpelier this A.M. at Nine Thirty oclock. Found all well. Visited most of the day with Mother. She is feeling well considering Fathers death SUNDAY 29 A very cold stormy day Montpelier Ward held Memorial services for Father. It was very nice and the house decorated nicely and well filled with friends. Bro. Thomas Sleight Bp. Amos Wright Pres. Wm Rich and Bp. Clark all spoke splendidly and the singing was good. They took the family too and from meeting on carriages. MONDAY 30 Today I have visited Aunt Ellen Merrill and called on a number of friends. |
