Description	This collection contains 74 diaries of Dr. Edward Rich and his wife Almira. They begin in 1892 and run through 1965. The bulk of this collection centers on Almira's diaries that run from 1897-1947. During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins.

Dr had a very successful year in his practise Sunday 31 A very happy & bleesed year has passed for Dr & I. & family Oertel & Oscar have been to Mexico Cleone gave birth to Cleone Eccles Dr, Junior Avon & I visited Southern Utah & canyons Thair went on a mission to Austria Junior graduated from the U of U. Myrene went to Cal. for Summer vacation. Avon went back to Ann Arbor to school & Junior to Penn U at Philadelphia. Junior & Avon spent the Hallidays in N.Y. I was made President of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers of Weber Co also was made Pres. of Mount Ogden Relief Society. Thair graduated from Ogden High S. Memoranda Paid Tresa Jan 15 45.00 will pay her by calendar month from now on her pay will be due on 15 of Feb again Dr. H. Smith Wooley was found dead in his office at Pocatello Idaho with a bullet wound in his chest Jan 9 22 Thair sailed on the Empress of Scotland. July 25 22 for a Mission to Europe Thair was set a part for The Swiss German Mission by Apostle Richard Lyman Tuesday July 18 1922. Recd his endowments in Salt Lake Temple June 30 1922.
