During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show THURS. OCT. 1, 1925. Have spent today at home. A committee meeting was held here tonight to assist Mrs. Jones in getting out Xmas Advertising. Wrote to Lucile in Vienna. Mrs. Jones& Paul Luciles baby called. Retire late. Utah Hotel. FRIDAY 2. This AM came to Salt Lake with June in his Ford. Attended a Social Service meeting at the New House Hotel very fine Programme. Am alone in my room here at Hotel. Have written to Oertel & also Lizzie Thomas. SATURDAY 3. (Hotel Utah) Avon & June went to Idaho. This morning I attended Relief Society Officers meeting in the Bishops Bldg. This afternoon RS Conference. Ida Truseder stayed with me at the Utah Hotel. Not so many present as usual. But very good meetings. SLC. SUN. OCT. 4, 1925. Ida Truseder and I had breakfast at the Utah Hotel and then attended both sessions of conference today. Enjoyed very much the first Presidency of the church spoke. Over flow meetings in Asembly Hall & Barret Hall. Also Radio on the lawn out side. We stayed at Hotel all night. MONDAY 5. Attended conference this morning, and visited Relic hall of Daughters of Utah Pioneer at the Capitol Bldg. this afternoon. A stormy day I came home this evening with Bertha E Wright. Enjoyed the ride. Found Dr home alone very lonesome. TUESDAY 6. On arriving home after four days found June & Avon had gone to Macky Idaho & a very untidy house. So have been buisy. This afternoon Sister Petty & I reorganized the Fourteenth Ward Relief Society. Released Sister Wheatly & officers & made Sister Harper Pres. etc. |
