During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show WED. DEC. 30, 1925. Spent the day entertaining our guests. They went to Salt Lake City from here. Attended RS Board meeting this evening. Myrene is out to parties agan & she & Mary are enjoying the Hallidays. THURSDAY 31. This has been a very buisy year for me & all the family. I am not at all proud of the way I have kept this diary it is perhaps little better than none out side of a few dates. I have not taken time to write it as I should but at the close of this year I have much to be thankful for. I have been ill but two or three days & have done most of the house work cooking, & keeping a home far from ten to three the great number most of the time. Have also been active in church work & some social. 1926. MEMORANDA. Junior is doing interne at Lane Stanford Hospital in San Francisco. there is attending the Univesity of Utah first yr. Myrene is attending U of Michigan Second year. Avon is teaching at Junior Central. Mary is Second year High School. She was voted in organist of 18 Ward Primary Mt Ogden Stake Sun. Dec 7 1924. Cleones & Royal Eccles baby Clair was blessed & named Feb 8 by Edward I Rich is grandfather assisting was Harry H. Russell. Royal Eccles, Oscar Russell here at our home. Daughter of Oscar & Oertel Carrol Russell was blessed & named Feb 8 by her grandpa Harry H. Russell assisted by Oscar Russell father & grandfath E I Rich & Royal Eccles here at our home. |
