During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show SUN. APRIL 5, 1914. Dr. & I intended going to SL but is too stormy and Mary is quite sick with a cold have held her all day. The other children all went to SS & then spent the day home. Ogden Choir sang for three meetings at conference in Salt Lake today. Praised a great deal by presidency. MONDAY 6. Did up work this AM. Mary is much better so Dr & I went to SLC this afternoon went to church but could not get a good seat so visited the museum & Pioneer Hall of relics very interesting. Meet mother visited some of the stores had refreshments meet Dr at Depot & came home on six oclock train. Quite cold Junior had his picture taken. TUES. APRIL 7, 1914. Mother is sewing I went shopping as she will sew some for the girls. Attended the funeral of Mrs. Chas Lindquist a very good women who died after two or three days sickness. Beautiful service. Meet Mrs. Richards & went to library to see about cubbord etc for relics of Pioneers Amasa & Wm spent evening here. WEDNESDAY 8. Had my picture taken called on Mrs. Hancock with mother this evening. Had a letter from Lucile. |
