This collection contains 74 diaries of Dr. Edward Rich and his wife Almira. They begin in 1892 and run through 1965. The bulk of this collection centers on Almira's diaries that run from 1897-1947. During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

A PARTIAL ECLIPSE OF THE MOON, January 19-20. Visible to North America and the greater part of South America, and in part to the extreme western portions of Europe and the eastern portions of Asia. Occurring as follows:First contact of shadow, 5 degrees from the south point of the Moons limb toward the east.Magnitude of eclipse, 0. 137 (Moons diameter, 1. 0).II. A TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE SUN, February 3. Visible to North America, the northwestern portion of South America, southwest Europe and the extreme northwestern part of Africa. The path of totality passes through the extreme northwestern part of South America and the Azores. Occurring, as a partial eclipse, as follows:III. A PARTIAL ECLIPSE OF THE MOON, July 14-15. Visible generally to North and South America, and in part to western Europe and Africa.
