This collection contains 74 diaries of Dr. Edward Rich and his wife Almira. They begin in 1892 and run through 1965. The bulk of this collection centers on Almira's diaries that run from 1897-1947. During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

All but the Stone accident that had already taken the boy died in highway mishaps. The Shaw car was waiting at an intersection for a traffic light to change when struck from behind by a car driven by Ray Joe Armenta, 30, of 1214 24th. Armenta was charged yesterday with negliet homicide. (See story on Page 1B. PITCHED OVER CLIFF The 9-year-old Stone boy was sped to St. Benedict Hospital early Sunday evening after he tumbled 109 feet down a mountainside. The youth slipped when a loose rock sited underfoot, pitching him over the edge of a steep incline. He was brought down with the assistance of the Weber ° County Jeep Patrol, sheriff’s deputies and five boys. | |
