Winner of this REGION IV TOURNAMENT will represent UTAH, IDAHO, MONTANA, and WYOMING at the NATIONAL JUNIOR COLLEGE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION'S NATIONAL TOURNEY In Hutchinson, Kansas March 20 through 24 where they will compete for national honors with sixteen other regional winners representing all areas in the United States. ABOUT NORTHEASTERN AGRICULTURAL JUNIOR COLLEGE . . . Local sports fans who have been following the epic casaba struggles in the Intermoun- tain Collegiate Athletic Conference are prone to favor Snow College and Weber as the finalists in this year's classic, but such enthusiasts may well have overlooked the Wyoming machine at Sheridan. The Northeast "Aggies" boast what is probably the best statistical record of any team entered in the tournament, having a 22 games won and 3 games lost record, which is impressive by anyone's reckoning. Sports calculators will also be interested to learn that the Northeast Junior College, which is a university of Wyoming residence center, has won their last 17 consecutive games. This, of course, places them at the very top in their own loop. The Northeast "Aggies" are making their first appearance in the Regional Tournament and their coach, W. M. Poulson, has assured tournament officials that he is counting on his squad to make the competition hot and fast. C. has qualified each of the three years that the Region IV Tournament has been held and last year the Idaho men swept all opposition and went to the finals where, after a torrid contest, they were downed by Swenson's Weberites. Always a big threat in the Intermountain Conference, the Boise "Broncos" are coached by George Blankley. Boise's football team has acquired national recognition, having copped the conference pigskin crown for the last two years. Boise was the eastern selection for participation in the "Little Rose Bowl" classic this season, where they met and were defeated by mighty Long Beach City College. Colors for the "Bronc's" are orange and blue. Boise put the skids under Weber's hopes for a repeat performance this season for the conference basketball championship, when in a game at Boise they powered over the touted "Wildcats" thereby throwing the Northern Division honors to Rick's College. Boise enters the tournament with perhaps not as favored a team as in previous years but with a past record for pulling unlikely upsets, George Blankley's "Broncos" will be a force to be reckoned with.
