Show Warren Air Force Base, Minuteman Facilities Page 3 stated amounts as may be specifically excepted by the Contractor from the operation of the release, If the Contractor's claim to amounts payable under the contract has been assigned under the Assignment of Claims Act of 1940, a release may also be required of the Assignee. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: In case of failure on the part of the Contractor to complete the work within the time fixed in the contract or any extensions thereof, the Contractor shall pay to the Government as liquidated damages the sum of $1,000.00 for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed and accepted. COST Payroll records and payrolls: (a) Payroll records will be maintained during the course of the work and preserved for a period of three years thereafter for all laborers and mechanics working at the site of work. Such records will contain the name and address of each employee, his correct classification, rate of pay, daily and weekly number of hours worked, deductions made ana actual wages paid. The Contractor will make his employment records available for inspection by authorised representative- of the Contracting Officer and the U. S. Department of Labor, and will permit such representatives to interview employees during working hours on the job. (b) A certified copy of all payrolls will be submitted weekly to the Contracting Officer. The Government Prime Contractor will be responsible for the submission of certified conies of the payrolls of all subcontractors. The certificatication will affirm that the payrolls are correct and complete, that the wage rates contained therein are not less than the applicable rates contained in the wage determination of the Secretary of Labor attached to this contract, and that the classification set forth for each laborer or mechanic con¬form with the work he performed.
