Along with this, Pastor Liggins recognized and emphasized the need for us to win more souls to Christ. In this connection, on the First Sunday Night in November 1979, New Zion witnessed its biggest baptism ever when fathers, sons, mothers and daughters were among the twenty-five © persons baptized. Pastor Liggins saw much work ahead for New Zion, including complete renovation of our present structure and a community development project consisting of an educational center for all and service programs for senior citizens and working parents.
