Show all technical services related to engineering, design, and research must be performed in Mexico by a Mexican company. If new mining and metallurgical facilities are being developed in a remote area, a company may request special tax relief for a given period of time from the Ministry of Finance. Under such circumstances, the company may be granted a 100 percent reduc-tion in production and export taxes, as well as a maximum income tax reduction of 40 percent for a period not to exceed five years. Such special treatment does not apply to the producers of all metals, but only to those that produce copper and gold. 30 |
