Came to Weber from Logan High. GEORGE TAYLOR Graduate from Ogden High in 1947worked at Hill Field for two years to save enough money to attend school. Married. ROY NELSON From Ogden High not only a football player but plays a fine game of baseball at second basen MIKE FOTES A veteran of last year plays a whale of game at Guard. He is known as the dynamite kid on Weber's squado Runs the farm for his mother lives in clearfield. TONY TOSCAN Does the blocking for Weber in the backfield. One of the more rugged characters on the squad. Comes to Weber from Ogden Higho Considered to be one of the best blocking backs to come from Ogden High. DALE CHUGG -- Plays a lot of football at Center. An outstanding defensive center - from Weber High. Rested from school last year. Works his dad's farm. "DON BUTLER -- A veteran from last year -- elected as Co-Capt. for this years team. Generally considered to be the Canning Co.'s best man. Has a definite way with the coeds at Weber. Caught the winning touchdown pass against John Muir College in the Rose Bowl last fall. Graduate of Ogden Higho Plays basketball as well as football. JACK BUTTERS -- From North Cache High. First year at Weber has the fighting spirit. RODGER HALL -- A veteran of last year a graduate of da vis High. Is this years quarterback and no doubt you have seen him pass that football. We are expecting great things from Rodg this year. He is a body and fender expert in his spare time. If Rodger keeps up the good work he will be known as one of the better backs to play at Weber College STAN PETERSON - Comes to Weber from Weber High plays a fine game at guard. CLIVE WINTERS Did not play football his first year Weber, but is doing a fine job -- plays end -- graduate of Weber High. RON WILKINSON -- One of the finest pass catching ends Weber has had. Plays an excellent game of basketball. Is studying to be an engineer. Is counted on to help give Weber a fine year in football. Graduate of Ogden High a good team man and morale builder. GARY LOOSLI -- Hails from Morgan - a fine passer and runner - plays quarterback. Comes to Weber with a fine record established at Morgan High. Works for the cement plant in the summers. GUY PETERSON -- Graduate of Bear River High. Plays center - His first year at College. LAMONT LAMB A bruising fullback - Co-Capt. played for Weber Last year. One of the better fullbacks to represent Weber. Is a married man - is the care taker of the girls dorm. Raises turkeys in the summer with his dad in Plymouth Utah. Graduate of Bear River High. He must be a wheat farmer because he drives a new car each year. RON LOUDER --Plays a fine game at halfback. Is a basketball player as well as football. Was the capt of the basketball team at Ogden High last year. A fine punter - runs the reverses in the offense. VERLE BUHLER Comes from Davis High after laying out of school for a year. Is doing a fine job playing tackle for Weber.
