Show EMORY KEOLANUI - Sophomore - halfbacks One of the two players from out of the state of Utah - comes from Honolulu,, Is a married man and has two children. He is responsible for blocking ends and tackles. Plays a fine game all the time. HARVEY BROUGH -- Sophomore - plays end. Is a fine pass catcher. Comes to Weber from Davis High* Is a track man during the track season. DICK HULSE -- Freshman plays end. Dick did not play football in High School, but is developing very rapidly into a fine football player. We are expecting big things from Dick in the future. From Ogden High, MAURICE HUNSAKER Freshman - comes from Box Elder - plays 60 min football for Weber already this year. Was chosen All State Tackle two years in a row. Has a quiet and unassuming attitude which makes him invaluable to the squad. Makes difficult plays look easy. Has a great fighting spirit. MARK BALLIF -- Sophomore - plays halfback. Does a great deal of the punting - plays an outstanding game at halfback on defense. Already has saved Weber from being scored on several times. Mark is the fellow that stole the lateral from Modesto and scampered 60 yds for a touchdown. Marks plays a fine game of basketball and baseball when he isn't playing football. Comes from Ogden High. LELAND FARBER -- Freshman - plays tackle. Comes from Ogden High. Is big and rough. Likes to play football and gives it all he has every second he is playing football. He likes it best when the going is rough. GLEN HADFIELD -- Freshman tackle. Is one of the most improved players on the squad since the starting of practice. Glen is the largest man on the squad. Comes from Weber High. Played center for them in basketball. Weber is expecting fine things from Glen. RAY SESSIONS -- Sophomore halfback. Ray is the one we see when the opponents punt to us. Ray runs back those punts in an excellent fashion. He is a valuable asset to the team. Does equally as well at offense, running the team at quarterback. Ray is the best when the chips are down. DARIUS COKER Sophomore guard. Puts in some of his time at the reserve Marine detachment. Plays a whale of a game at guard. He likes the rough going, and is best when the going gets rough. Plays offense and defense equally well. Has a fine fighting spirit, is a good morale builder on the team. Comes from Ogden High. His nickname is "Chief." SONNY FRESTIN - Freshman halfback - comes from Weber High. We are expecting fine things from Sonny this year. TOM POTTER Freshman halfback, is developing rapidly into a fine halfback. A little more seasoning will see Tom in there - Comes from Bear River High. DON BUDGE --Freshman halfback - one of the winners of the Standard, KLO outstanding Athlete. award at Weber High last year. Don started late this year but is coming along rapidly and will be one of the main cogs in the wheel before too long. He does the extra point kicking. and quarterbacking of the team. He is a quiet aid unassuming fellow, making his presence on the squad a please. He is a hard conscientious worker always trying to better himself. He will give a good account of himself before this season is over. Also a basketball player, and track man. BOB LARSEN -- Sophomore - is the team manager and does an excellent job. Bob is well liked by all the men on the squad. He relives the coaches of a lot of headaches. It is a pleasure to have Bob on the squad. Right now he is practicing every night to become the teams extra point kicker. |
