Show The 1957-58 Wildcat basketball squad will long be remembered as one of the best ever turned out at the college. After trampling over conference contenders, they won a berth in the National Junior College Basketball Tournament at Hutchinson, Kansas. Surprising the nation with excellent play, the "Cats" went undefeated till the last game, which was played for the championship. A defeat by Kilgore Jr. College from Texas gave them second place in the nation.
