Show The Faculty We are sorry that Principal Henderson will not be with us next year. He has been here four years and kept the school abreast with the educational system of the age. His success is self-evident. We shall miss him, but we bid him good-bye and wish him success in his future work. Mr. Jas. L. Barker of the Brigham Young University has been chosen Principal for the coming year. His recommendations from that school indicates that he is a worthy successor of Professor Henderson. Cupid has visited Weber again this year and has struck our Domestic Science Instructor, Miss Pearl Cragun, with his dart. She changed her name to Mrs. Brown on April 29th. We congratulate her and extend our best wishes for her future happiness and success. In devottonal President Brimhall of the B. Y. U. developed two thoughts in his address to the student body in devotional exercises on May 7th. They were entitled "get-readyness" and "work to-getherness." He illustrated his subject by referring to natures "getreadyness." President Brimhall also spoke on "work to-getherness." He said that the "work togetherness" of mind gave us republics, that the "work togetherness" in communities gave us patriotism ; in the home it gave us love, in financial affairs it gave us dollars, in church it gave us faith, "but there is nothing in the universe equal to the "work togetherness" of the heart; it gives us happiness." The Agriculture Club During this year the Weber Agricultural Club has been re-organized with Harvey Taylor at its head. His Assistants are Lloyd Millar, Vice-President; Joel Boyce, Secretary and Leonard Knight and Jesse Heslop, executive committee. The purpose of this Industrial Club is to induce more of Utah's Young men to enter the field of Scientific Farming. Art Boom "Isn't the art room beautiful?" "If you want to see the prettiest room in the building, come down to the art room." These and many other good things are said about the remodeled art room every day. The once dark, dingy and uninviting room is now well-lighted, clean and comfortable. The floor has been covered with linoleum and the wall and ceiling have been calcimined. The sketches and paintings which adorn the walls show that the students have taken an interest in their work. domestic Science department Domestic Arts department |
