The Warriors fought with enthusiasm against the Bulldogs by running and passing but the opponents’ aggressive power proved too great for the Weber line. Weber was defeated by a score of 19 to 7. Weber’s only touchdown was scored by Reed Nielson; and Lorin Stimpson placed a kick for the extra point. On October 10, Logan Grizzlies nosed out Weber Warriors in a well-matched game. Both teams were held scoreless for the first three quarters. The Grizzlies led the attack in the fourth quarter by scoring a touchdown. Weber fought desperately to tie the score but the game ended with Logan winning by a score of 6-0. Weber again met touchdown. defeat in another league game against Bear River on October 18, by a mere Both teams carried the ball well but in the final minutes of playing time, Bear River scored a touchdown, with Weber On November blocking the kick, ending the game with the score of 6-0. 1, South Cache traveled over to play another league game on the muddy Warriors field. The football season came to a conclusion with another loss for Weber against the Box Elder Bees, on November 8, on the Warriors’ field. Although Weber put forth their best efforts they were unable to stop the power of the Bees’ rampaging backfield. The game came to an end with Box Elder piling up a score of 59, as against 0 for Weber, |
