It is not only educational but highly enjoyable to the students who participate. Throughout the year the Speech II class exchanged visits with various schools such as: East, Box Elder, Davis, and West, and competed in several speech contests, including the Weber College Invitational Meet, D. A. R. Oratorical contest, S. A. R. Oratorical contest, and the Regional and State Speech meets In thinking of speech it is well to consider the words of the philosopher: “Of thine unspoken word thou art master; thy spoken word is master of thee; so learn to speak well.” Panel: Curtis Gardner, Nola Johnston, Arva Jean Marilou Peterson, Rogers. |
