Leonard Christiansen,, Mermine Groberg, Norma Anderson, and LeGrand Ward, who had been selected as the finalists in the preliminary try-outs, spoke on various phases of Washington’s life. Norma Anderson, speaking on “George Washington, the Patron of Advancement and Learning,” was selected to receive the S. A. R. Medal.
