Show ~~ One of the most active clubs this year was the Future Homemakers of America. The members met each month for important discussions and presentations that were of great value to them. They sponsored a dance at the first of the year in conjunction with the F.F.A., and chose a Harvest King and Queen. Later in the year twenty-five girls were chosen to go to the state F.H.A. week during which showed parents, teachers, and other students this year were first row Glenda Thurgood, Francine Markos, Gerrie Hadley, Rena Prevadel; Row Two: Miss Whitaker, Gerrie Strong, Venita Green, Laurel Henderson, Mrs. Maughan, and Kazuko Hori. a ms — they what their organization really is. Leaders of the club With the goal in mind of being teachers in the future, members of this organization went to work to investigate and create a better understanding of the problems of the educational profession. Among their activities were movies, speakers, and visiting other schools acting as student teachers. Helping to carry out the activities this year were officers Marva Burrows, vice president; Venita Green, secretary; Rena Prevedel, treasurer; and John Howes, President. Looking forward to a future in farming were these boys in F.F.A. They took an active part in their club, and accomplished many worth-while things. They sponsored a Harvest Ball with the F.H.A., and later in the year chose an F.F.A. Sweetheart, Miss Carroll Beus. She represented our chapter in the state contest. They had a Parents and Sons Banquet, and awarded the outstanding achievements of some of the boys. Officers were Roger Peterson, president; Dave Schoenfeld, secretary; Roger Heslop, reporter; and Bruce Taylor, treasurer; Row Two: Dale Thompson, sentinel; Bruce Slater, vice president; and Mr. Parker, advisor. Young scientists, challenged by the vast expanses and wonderful possibilities of were lectures, the future, took an active trips. They part in the Science Club. Included in their calendar of events films, and field started the year with a watermelon bust and went on through the year full of enthusiasm.
