Show PAGE 24 WEBER ACADEMY Credit for one semester only in a subject that continues throughout the year cannot be counted toward graduation. Credit for one year only in a foreign language cannot be counted toward graduation. The recitation periods are forty-five minutes in length. Students' Expenses. Tuition is free. An entrance fee of $15.00, payable in advance, is charged all students. Students unprepared to pay fees at time of registration will be required to furnish promissory notes, signed by parents or guardians. Laboratory Fees. Chemistry $2.00 Physiology $1.00 Physics 2.00 Penmanship 2.00 Botany 2.00 Domestic Science 3.00 Zoology 1.00 Domestic Arts 2.00 Agronomy 1.00 Manual Training 5.00 Band 2.50 Students pursuing the commercial courses will be charged ten dollars extra. Students not registered for the Commercial course may take Typewriting on the payment of an extra fee of five dollars. After a student has once registered he will be held responsible for the payment of all fees, even though he change his course or discontinue. Mid-year students will be charged seven dollars and a half. WEBER ACADEMY PAGE 25 A fee of three dollars will be charged for the diploma issued by the Academy for the completion of any of the four-year courses. A fee of two dollars will be charged for the certificate issued for the completion of a two-year course in Shorthand or Bookkeeping. This amount must be paid to the registrar by the candidates for graduation by May 15. These fees in all cases are payable in advance. All the students of the Academy are held responsible for any injury done by them to its property. Board and lodging can be obtained at from three to five dollars per week. By students renting rooms and boarding themselves, these expenses may be reduced. On application to the secretary, students may obtain permits to purchase student tickets at half price on the Rapid Transit cars for use in passing to and from school. High School Courses of Study. The following courses of study of High School grade are offered for 1916-17: 1.A four-year Scientific course. 2.A four-year Literary course. 3.A four-year Commercial course. 4.A four-year Domestic Art and Science course. 5.A four-year Mechanic Arts course. 6.A four-year Music Art course. 7.A four-year Preparatory Normal course. 8.A four-year General High School course. 9.A two-year Shorthand course. 10.A two-year Bookkeeping course. |
