Sight Singing c, d.Same as in Music department. Choir.Same as in Music department. WEBER ACADEMY PAGE 59 Normal Music.The course in music in the Normal work will include sight singing, theory, conducting, care and treatment of the child's voice, and methods of teaching. Three times per week throughout the year. One-half unit credit. Military Band.The band has become a regular part of the musical department. Students of the Academy who play instruments are entitled to membership. Students who own instruments are requested to bring them and become members of the band. Members desiring private instruction may obtain the same at a very nominal cost. Practice three hours per week throughout the year. Orchestra.Open to all who play orchestral instruments. Regular instruction will be given. Students desiring instruction may secure it. Students desiring instruction in band or orchestra may receive a course extending through the year, by paying an extra fee of $10,000. Students not having instruments of their own may use the Academy instruments by paying an additional fee of $5.00 for the year. Credit towards graduation is allowed. |
