Show sV 52 WEBER COLLEGE WEBER COLLEGE 53 THE DEPARTMENTS OF INSTRUCTION WITH SUGGESTIVE TWO-YEAR COURSES Subjects are offered to meet all of the requirements in the Freshman and Sophomore years for each of the following courses: Engineering Course, Pre-Medical Course, Pre-Law Course, Arts and Science, Commerce and Finance, and the Normal Course. ARTS AND SCIENCE COURSE Graduation Requirements. Students graduating from the Arts and Science Course must complete ninety hours of approved work. This must include English 1 and 2, Physical Education, and five hours or more in each of the following groups: Exact Science, Biological Science, Social Science, and Language. At least thirty hours must be earned in residence at Weber. The group requirements for graduation may be met by selecting the proper courses from the groups listed below: EXACT SCIENCE GROUP Mathematics Chemistry Physics Geology Mineralogy LANGUAGE GROUP French German Spanish English Public Speaking BIOLOGICAL GROUP Zoology Botany Physiology Hygiene Bacteriology SOCIAL SCIENCE GROUP History Sociology Economics Psychology I It is advisable for the student to take two or more courses in the same subject. Before a student can become a candidate for graduation, his record in the College must show: First, that he has satisfied the entrance requirements; secondly, that the collegiate work for which he has credit and pending credits, the completion of which is reasonably assured, together satisfy the requirements for graduating; thirdly, four-fifths of the grades earned by the student must be C or better. Students who graduate with an average grade of 90% will be designated as honor students. College credit will not be given for any course completed in high school.
