Show Utah Construction Votes ChiefE. W. Littlefield, a native of Ogden, Utah, Monday was elected president and general manager of the Utah Construc-tion and Mining Co.THE GRANDSON of the late E. O. Wattis, a founder of the worldwide construction firm, was named to succeed Allen D. Christensen as president, fol-lowing a quarterly board meet-ing at Ogden Monday.Marriner S. Eccles, chair-man of the board of U-C, an-nounced Mr. Littlefield's elec-tion.MR. CHRISTENSEN is re-tiring effective Sept. 30 as president and a member of the board of directors.Mr. Eccles also announced the election of Albert L. Reeves, senior vice president and firm attorney, as a direc-tor, succeeding Mr. Christen-sen.MR. LITTLEFIELD, during the last several years, had served as executive vice presi-dent and general manager.Mr. Eccles also announced directors had voted to pay a quarterly dividend of 35 cents a share.THE DIVIDEND is payable Oct. 25 to stockholders of rec-ord Oct. 9.This represents an increase of five cents a share in the quarterly dividend rate of the firm, the company having paid 30 cents a share in previous quarters.Mr. Littlefield resides in San Francisco, where the firm is headquartered.HE IS A member of the board of California Packing Co.; W. P. Fuller Co.; Boothe Leasing Co.; Pima Mines Co.; Marcona Mining Co.A graduate of Stanford Uni-versity, he was named vice president and treasurer of U-C in 1951; secretary in 1952, and director in 1953.MR. CHRISTENSEN, a na-tive of Salt Lake City, attended both the University of Utah and Stanford University.Immediately upon gradua-tion from the latter school, he joined the construction com-pany.E. W.
