Show It should be stated here that 1944 was the first year that a bidding record was kept. This record will be incorporated into this work for the reference of the reader from this year forward. As was stated earlier, the reason for percentage listings of projects between 1938 and 1944 is as a reference to the reader of jobs under construction during this period. Thus information was available during these years, whereas earlier it was not. Its principal investments were a joint venture in Ross Dam (25%), Los Angeles Breakwater (44.5%), Corpus Christi (22.2%), Columbia River Channel (50%). It recently received a $5, 000, 000 fixed price bid contract for the construction of a floating dry dock at Swan Island (Portland). The Kaiser Company con- structed the dock and Columbia reimbursed them for the cost of the construction. Columbia formed a joint venture for this on the same apportionment as Los Angeles Breakwater (Columbia 44.5%). Utah did not have a direct participation.
