Show 77 Pomeroy-Navy Expediting - (Contract awarded April 15, 1944} This Navy contract provided for the furnishing of engineering, expediting, liason, and administrative services in connection with supplying Government- owned lumber for use on Bureau of Yards & Docks Construction contracts on the West Coast. The contract, scheduled for completion in late 1944, involved a cost of services of $ 1,000,000 including the fixed fee. The co-venturers were: J. H. Pomeroy & Co., Inc. - 40% The Utah Construction Company - 40% Pomeroy Bros. Co. - 20% Completed Joint Ventures Mare Island Facilities Pacific Bridge Co. Coaster Vessels Pearl Harbor Drydock #4 Corpus Christi Naval Air Station COMPANY WORK Alaska Military Highway - wrap-up Public Roads Administration Contract U. S. Engineer's Contract Asheville Yard This repair shop and yard was created for reconditioning the equipment used on the Bryson job, and Watauga and Nantahala. Colorado Fuel & Iron - Cedar City The original contract was dated February 1, 1943, and was for mining, crushing and loading iron ore to the extent of 300,000 tons for $465, 560. To July 31, 1944, 267,482 tons of ore were produced. Duchesne Tunnel - Utah This job was closed down by B of R's order of December 26, 1942. On December 8 and 9, 1943, a conference was held with the government and it was determined the company should present a statement. This was done and contract was finally terminated in 1944. Friant Dam - Bureau of Reclamation This job was completed October, 1944. TVA - Bryson City, North Carolina This job was completed on May 16, 1944. |
