This work was located in Utah and cost $6, 000, 000. 1921 - 1922 In 1922 the Haig Branch Extension line was completed for the Union Pacific Railroad Company. The project was located in Nebraska and cost $690,000. 1923 Projects completed during this project were: 1. Railroad line extension between Santa Ana and Los Angeles, California for the Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad Company. The contract amounted to $216,100. 2. Railroad line delta to Filmore, Utah for the Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad Company. The contract amounted to $128,000. 3. Railroad line to Cedar City, Utah for the Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad Company. The contract amounted to $74,000. 1924 Projects completed during this period were: 1. O'Shaughnessy Dam(Hetch-Hetchy) - Located on the Tuolumne River near San Francisco, California, this project was completed in 1938 with the original construction in 1925. It is a gravity type dam with a structural height of 430 ft. and a crest length of 910 ft. The volume content of the dam is 674, 303 cubic yards. The reservoir name is Hetch Hetchy and its capacity is 360, 360 acre feet. Purposes for construction of the dam were irrigation, power, and water supply. The installed power capacity is 67, 500 kw. The owner of the project is the City of San Francisco and the work was engineered by them also. Utah joint ventured this work with the Transbay Construction Company. Approximate cost of this project was $6,100,000. 2. Concrete Weir Dam - Located near Fremont, California, this concrete dam was completed in 1924. The owner of the project was the U, S, War Department and the approximate cost was $800,000. |
