Show Artist. This poem, signed by Joseph Upper, was awarded first prize in the quatrain contest held by Wings, a quarterly of verse. More than 2,500 poems was submitted and 1,100 persons competed. Joseph Upper is Joseph U. Harris, for many years a resident of Water- town. His brother, the late George A. Harris, was a member of the editorial staff of The Times a quarter century ago. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Harris, Mr. Harris is now a resident of Washington, D. C., and is employed In the government service.
