S. at Salt Lake. The game was rough and rather slow. Our team did not play with their usual spirit. This caused our defeat, the score being 15 to 19. After the game the Juniors and Seniors of the University gave a reception to our team. A delicious supper was served. Toasts were given by the Principals of the two schools and the managers of both teams. The next day, we met the team of the B. Y. U. at Provo. Here again, our boys did not play as well as usual, and gave Provo an easy victory, the score being 30 to 10. The game was very slow on account of the many fouls called on both teams. On Feb. 2, we played the A. C. on our own field. The game was interesting from start to finish, and both teams played excellent ball. The first half ended with a tie score, 6 to 6. In the second half, the A. C. team was not able to score from the field, while we made three baskets. This made a final score of 12 to 8 in our favor. On Feb. 9, we again met the B. Y. U., this time at Ogden. Our boys scored first, and were soon several points ahead. Provo saw that they were losing the game, and started to play rough ball. In the second half, Provo played rougher than ever, and so took the game, the final score being 15 to 11. On Feb. 16, we met the S. S. D. in our hall. There was a pretty exhibition of team work on both sides, the S. S. D. boys played a good game, but were unable to block our team plays. The game, resulted in a score of 32 to 9 in our favor.
