During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show April 1926 Sun 4. Salt Lake City. I have attended General Conference all day. Presented Heber J Grant presided and gave a wonderful opening adress. Anthony W Ivans his counselor also Chas Nibley of the Presidency spoke. The reports were wonderful & showed great progress. 20000 admited to the church the past six months 2500 missionaries in the field 75 percent of all LDS own their own homes. The services of to day have been heard over radio by over 50000 people. Claire Raleigh spent the evening with me. Salt Lake City. 1926 April Mon 5. This morning I did not attend conference but met with the Daughters of Pioneers of Utah State central Board and the County presidents at a breakfast at the Hotel Utah after which an officers meeting was held. I was appointed by Pres Fannie Woodruff as chairman of Ways & Means for the State. I also made a report as auditor of the Central Companys books. After meeting Mrs. Lizzie Thomas met me and we spent some time togather visiting spent the evening writing. |
