Show June 1926 Tues 1. I arrived at Coakville at eight oclock this AM and D Orr meet me & we drove twelve miles to Wills ranch. A very sad house. At two I went with the family to the funeral at Raymond of their baby. The service was very nice. We then went to Montpelier where it was buried. I took ten of them down to the cafe for dinner. I stayed all night with Jed & Harriet Merrill at Montpelier. A cousin of Mothers. 1926 June Wed 2. This morning I went to call on some dear old friends in Montpelier Sister chas Bridges who is ninty yrs old also Aunt Sarah Phelps who has been sick in bed for seventeen years or more. Also Uncle John Perkins this afternoon I took the train for Ogden & arrived at nine PM found a much upset kitchen as Thair had boiled a cat on the gas range & let it boil over so Mary refused to do up kitchen work under the conditions. Am quite tired so retire early. |
