Show 12 TENTH ANNUAL REPORT Appreciating this fact, the academy has arranged two normal courses of three and four years respectively, which are de-signed with a view of giving the required training and providing opportunities for those who desire more advanced work in. that line. These courses are so arranged that the work fully covers those subjects required by the state law as qualifications for a grammar grade certificate, and the four years work embraces those subjects which are required for a higher certificate; thus the student is enabled to obtain a desirable education and pursue a course of study fully in harmony with modern educational thought.
