The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show TUESDAY, MAY 28, 1901 Coventry, England. We have spend nearly all day at the Shrine of Shakespeare Stratford on avon Beautiful place. We also spend two hours at Kenilworth visiting and Castle and Church til Come up to Coventry this evening WEDNESDAY 29 London England. We visited the three great churches and other places in Coventry this a.m. Come on to Warwick and visited Castle and Leicester Hospital and Church. Took drive. Took train at 4-30 for London where we arrived at 7 p.m. Stop at Victoria Hotel. Write to Ezra THURSDAY 30 London, England. First day in London. We ride on bus. Go to Royal Military Tournament from 2 to 5 p.m. A most wonderful exhibition of British arms. Go down to Conference house and meet Utah Elders and have supper with them. Fine time come home on bus. FRIDAY, MAY 31, 1901 London, England. Nice day. Irving Emmette of Ogden shows us around the city We visit Piccidilley circus, Hyde Park, Albert Memorial Hall and Albert Monument. Order sets of clothes from Tailor. Visit Parliament buildings, Westminster Abbey and ride on bus. Spend evening in room. Write letters home. SATURDAY, JUNE 1 Paris, France. Hotel Luvre We left London at 11 this morning and arrived in Paris at 7 p.m. Nice trip Channel very quiet Rained some on train. Country lovely and green. Stop at Hotel Du Luver Walk out in the evening. See much drinking of wine. Write letter to Irving Emmette. SUNDAY 2 Paris, France. We go out on Cooks excursion to Versaillesa delightful driveand we spend day there visiting Palace and see fountains play. Visit St Cloud and other places of interest. A great crowd. Beautiful day. Write some cards and letters home in evening |
