Show November 10, 1961Dear Lloyd:Please forgive my delay in replying to your letter of October 13th but several things have transpired since receiving it that have caused me to be tardy. First, I was out of the country for a couple of weeks, partly on business and partly on vacation. Second, returning to San Francisco fully rested I promptly contracted the virus and found myself sick in bed for the first time in a number of years. However, I am dictating this at home but hope to return to the office tomorrow.Because I have had the opportunity over the past ten years to know and work with the officers of American Trust, I am expecially pleased now to have the privi-lege of serving on the bank board.
