Show 38 WEBER COLLEGE General Requirements for Graduation. Candidates for the Bachelor of Arts or the Bachelor of Science degree in Medicine, or the Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, must complete a minimum of 183 hours of approved work. This must include English la, lb, lc, Hygiene 1, Physical Education 2, 3, and 4, and in addition 13 hours in each of the following groups: Mathematics and Physical Science. Astronomy, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Mineralogy, Physics. Biological Science. Anatomy, Bacteriology, Botany, Hygiene, Physical Education, Physiology, Zoology. Language. Ancient Languages, English, French, German, Public Speaking. Social Science. Anthropology, Archaeology, Economics, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology. Candidates for the degree of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy need not present credit in a modern foreign language. SCHOOL OF LAW Before entering the Law School as a candidate for a Bachelor of Laws degree, a student must produce satisfactory evidence of having successfully completed a four-year high school course that includes 3 required units in English, 2 in Mathematics, 1 in the History and Social Science group, and 9 units of elective work. Before beginning the study of law, the candidate for a degree is required to furnish satisfac- WEBER COLLEGE 39 tory evidence of having successfully completed at least two years of pre-legal, or college work, estimated at 93 credit hours. Students who cannot meet the above requirements may be admitted as unmatriculated students, if the Law Faculty is convinced that their previous training will enable them satisfactorily to pursue the work and upon the approval of the President. Such students are not candidates for a degree. Recommendations for Pre-Legal Study. While two years' work is required as a pre-requisite to legal study for those students seeking a Bachelor of Laws degree, the Law Faculty recommends a full four-year course, leading to the degree of Bachelor of Arts, as preparatory to the study of law. By taking full law work during the last year in college, it is possible to secure both the degrees of Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws in six years. A selection of 45 credit hours from the following subjects is recommended for the first year's work: Latin 1, 2, 3, 18; History 1, (Greek History), History 2 (Roman History), History 3 (Middle Ages), History 4 and 5 (Modern History), History 6 (History of England), History 8 (Medieval and Modern Civilization), History 9, 10 and 11 (American History); Political Science 1 (American institutions), Political Science 2, (Local Government), Political Science 103 (European Governments), Political Science 105 (International Law), Political Science 8 (American Political Theories); Philosophy 1 (Elementary School Ethics), Philosophy 2 (Ethical Thought), (Phil- |
