Parley Bates With Superintendent Bates at their head, the school board acts as a policy making body in educational matters for Weber County. It is their duty io distribute funds carefully and equitably over the county districts in order to provide a uniform educational system throughout the county. Some of the things which fall under their jurisdiction are the hiring of teachers and supervisors, provision of a transportation system which includes establishing the bus routes, authorizing construction and maintenance of school buildings, purchasing equipment for use in the schools, and setting standards to be followed by all students. % ee 3 es, >. ; gS.
