Enclosed are letters which I received after having to resign from my work with Weber College. EVENING, AUGUST 4, 1950 Work Progresses On New Gate At Weber Campus As the gateway to the new Weber college campus is being constructed the officers and members are checking progress. Sometime ago the center section was completed and now the two end pieces, which are actually the gateways, are under way. The gateway is a presentation to the college by the Ogden Rotary club and stands on Harrison Blvd., facing west on the west edge of the new college campus. It is constructed of carefully cut and placed native stone. A center section carries the name of the college and the two flanking sections are on either side of the roadways into the campus. Considerable work is yet to be done but with club members following the details it will soon be done. Since the center section was completed considerable landscaping has been done, under the direction of Wallace Baddley, superintendent of buildings and grounds for the college. A large stretch of grass is growing in the area at the present time. |
