Show WEBER STATE COLLEGE OGDEN, UTAH WILLIAM P. MILLER President April 9, 1964 Mr. Earl S. Paul 5446 East Cicero Street Mesa, Arizona Dear Mr. Paul: The Weber College Carpentry Advisory Committee, Inc., held a meeting on March 4, 1964 at which time significant actions were taken, one to transfer the assets of the Corporation which amounted to $3694.90 to one of the College student loan funds , with the stipulation that if the carpentry program was reactivated that the funds could be replaced. A second action dissolved the Corporation. This action was taken because the carpentry program has not been active for some ten years, and it was felt that the Corporation had fulfilled its functions. At this meeting, it was felt that a letter of appreciation should be written to you as the first chairman of the Weber College Carpentry Advisory Committee. On behalf of President Miller, the Technical Division, and other members of the Carpentry Advisory Committee, I wish to sincerely thank you for the voluntary assistance which you gave to this cause. Approximately 140 young men received valuable practical experience in carpentry work as a result of the activities of the Carpentry Advisory Committee. Many of these young men are leading citizens in Ogden today. We hope that if you are traveling in this direction that you will find time to say hello. Sincerely, R. A. Clarke Dean of Faculty |
