They kept the “Dirt Board” filled with the latest and oldest thing in snapshots and cartoons, and juicy gossip about students and made it one of the most popular in the halls. and teachers, standing places Co-Editors Dolores Read and June Cliften. EYES AND EARS OF WEBER News Notes Editors had a free period and wore out seven pencils, ten erasers, and four tablets of paper every week. Their duty was to seek out all the news of Weber students and activities, and have it printed in local newspapers. Running up and down from their head station on third floor, having first chance on the telephone, chatting with “big time’ newspaper editors, digging up interesting stories, arranging for pictures, and developing a “nose for news” were all tricks of their trade.
