The winners in the three languages were: Ron Reimchussell, Diana Berrett, Leota Murakami; row Erik Butler, and Bill Bunting. One of the most outstanding achievements of the dramatics department this year was the one-act play, “Phoenix Too Frequent.” The cast consisted of only three students, and each of them gave an unforgettable perform- ance. Students participating were Ann Calderwood, Paul Taylor, and Lynn Kravet. The play was rated Superior at the region speech and drama meet. Chosen to be “Miss Teen-Age of Utah” was Gerry Strong, who also competed in the national contest in Texas as Utah’s representative, where she did very well. 112 Newly elected historian of the state FTA is Marne Buswell.
