Show The Model United Nations this year represented Turkey and East Germany in the General Assembly. These students have worked many hours after school to thoroughly investigate all aspects of the countries they have been representing. The delegates this year are: Myrna Hammer, Myrna Fietkau, Mr. Smout, advisor; Kathy Hurst, Char- lene and Oaks, Judy absent. Erik Butler, Karl Gibby, Johnson. Mr. Russell, Maxine Kato, advisor, was Ps Larry Seamons, an ardent Civil Air Patrol member, has done an outstanding job in this field, and it has merited him an all expense-paid trip to Europe next summer. We are very proud of his fine achievement and extend to him our congratulations. David Ibrahim Kiris, better known to his fellow students as Ibo, is our foreign exchange student from Turkey. He has been an active participant in our school activities and has made many friends among his classmates. We hope his experiences with us this year have been helpful to him, for we have certainly appreciated his friendship and his contribution to our school. Petterson, a junior from Weber, was chosen as our American Field Service Exchange Student. His destination at this time is unknown, but we know that to whatever country he is sent, he will enjoy this wonderful educational opportunity. |
