Show PHYSICAL EDUCATION Dr. Reed K. Swenson, genial chairman of Weber's Athletic Department, and director of the Gymnasium, was recently re-elected to his twelfth and thirteenth year as president of National Junior College Athletic Association, which attests to his capability and popularity. The Division of Physical Education provides an opportunity for the physical and social development of Weber College students through a varied program of instruction and activities: the Intramural program provides an opportunity for all students to participate in many competitive activities. The program of inter-collegiate athletics is designed for the exceptional athlete, and Weber College has shown up highly nationally, particularly in Basketball, anent the 1959 national championship. The Physical Education Department provides a program for the commnuity to promote recreation and to give the citizens supervised classes to develop physical skills. Reed K. Swenson Chairman Bruce A. Peterson, Chairman of the Technical Education Division, is a graduate of the University of Utah and is outstanding in his field. He is a leader in our community and is past president of the American Technical Education Association. TECHNICAL EDUCATION The Technical Division is recognized as one of the most outstanding Technical Education schools in the western states. Mr. Peterson, Division Chairman, is very proud of his staff of highly trained, expreienced instructors.
